Upaaya is a unified animal community platform built on one simple belief — every being matters. From the pets we raise to the animals that share our streets, Upaaya connects them all through verified digital identities, welfare records, and community-driven support.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between those who love animals and those who fear them — using empathy, information, and technology to build safer, kinder spaces for all. Through collaboration with NGOs, veterinarians, and local citizens, Upaaya helps track, protect, and rehabilitate animals responsibly — ensuring compassion never comes at the cost of safety.Upaaya is more than a platform — it’s a movement toward coexistence.
To create a world where every living being — human or animal — is acknowledged, protected, and understood. A world where compassion and caution coexist, where care is guided by awareness, and where coexistence is built on empathy, not fear. Upaaya envisions a future where every animal has an identity, every citizen has access to truth, and every community works together to ensure safety and dignity for all forms of life.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between humans and animals through connection, transparency, and compassion.Upaaya brings together pet owners, caregivers, NGOs, veterinarians, and citizens on one shared platform — helping track, protect, and support every being, from homes to streets. We strive to replace conflict with understanding and fear with information. By offering digital records, verified welfare data, and responsible reporting tools, Upaaya empowers communities to care for animals humanely while keeping people safe.Through collaboration and accountability, we aim to make compassion practical — turning empathy into action, and technology into a force for coexistence.
For most of her life, Rea was afraid of animals. That perspective changed when Rufus, a Golden Retriever, came into her life and quietly reshaped how she understood trust, gentleness, and intent. She realised that animals are rarely aggressive—they are curious, social, and simply trying to connect. What once felt like fear slowly turned into empathy.
Professionally, Rea has spent over a decade working with an American organisation, managing compliance and regulatory affairs. Her work has always been rooted in structure, accountability, and responsibility. During the COVID lockdowns, those values collided with reality when she saw puppies in her neighbourhood going to sleep hungry, with shops closed and movement restricted. Feeding a few dogs soon became consistent care.
Today, Rea looks after more than 20 dogs across Delhi and Gurgaon. She ensures annual vaccinations, runs winter drives to provide warmth and shelter, and supports long-term health needs. Over time, it became clear that kindness alone wasn't enough—animal welfare needed systems, records, and shared accountability.
Upaaya was born from that realisation: that compassion becomes powerful when it is organised, transparent, and collective.
Ruhi's entry into animal care was deeply shaped by everyday responsibility. During COVID, she brought home a tiny Maltese, an experience that introduced her to the discipline and consistency required to care for another life. What began as companionship evolved into a deeper understanding of animal health, routines, and preventive care.
As a Vice President at an Australian bank, Ruhi works in an environment driven by risk management, structure, and informed decision-making. That professional lens naturally extends to her approach to animal welfare. She believes that care must be thoughtful, measured, and sustainable—supported by information rather than impulse.
Through Upaaya, Ruhi contributes a grounded perspective that balances empathy with responsibility, ensuring that welfare efforts are not only well-intentioned, but effective and enduring.
Rishab's understanding of animal welfare is rooted in long-term care. Living with pets, he has experienced how an animal's needs evolve with age—requiring patience, attentiveness, and consistent support. This has shaped his belief that care is not temporary, but a lifelong commitment.
With extensive experience in business and operations, Rishab works in environments that demand discipline, accountability, and long-term thinking. He approaches decisions with foresight—evaluating not just immediate outcomes, but sustained impact. That perspective naturally informs his approach to animal welfare.
As a husband and a father, responsibility is central to how Rishab shows up every day. Through Upaaya, he advocates for systems that support informed, ethical, and dignified care—ensuring animals are protected not just in moments of urgency, but across their entire lives.
